Smoothie

Just a short update while in sitting in the dr office having all of my toes removed.  (Not really). 

Smoothies are doing a lot in terms of cutting my hunger.  My blender is a piece of shit though, so that's a little frustrating battling it at 5am.

Go Time

So today it starts.    Cutting out the crap.  Getting back to basics.   Raw as possible.

Lots of Water.
I used to read this all the time on my endless 'research diets'.  (i call them research diets because the only thing i was actually doing was researching... i wouldn't bother to implement anything.  Being a research dieter is really really easy!!!)  But the truth is, there is so much damn truth in water.   There have been so many times recently where water has eliminated the false NEED for food i was feeling.   This coming from a guy who used to drink a GALLON of this shit every day


I could dive into the rest, but its mostly common sense.   shit you've read a hundred times and ignored a hundred times.    eat natural, eat simple, eat enough for now, not enough for this week.
My biggest issues is definitely the last part.  i eat like i'm never going to see food again.  doesn't really make sense.


Side note.   I rarely capitalize the letter i when referring to myself.   Its not because i have a hidden low self esteem or any psychoanalytical bullshit.    The shift key and 'i' just don't feel good to my fingers.
get over it.   there are other blogs for grammar.  i recommend them if my lower case i really bothers you:)


Anyway, my daily overview looks like this
lunch is a big salad.
dinner is some herbed chicken breast and some carrots.  
based on my gut lately that should be plenty.  

My dog (pippin) loves finding the MOST comfortable place to sit, others be damned.

A Thursday

Ended up eating that twix and half of the dr pepper.
I didnt even really enjoy the dr pepper to be honest..   so i let it get hot in the car and then threw it out.
the twix however....cmon...

went and played polo for 4 hours after work.   doesn't feel like exercise because i'm having so much fun but i know it counts.

skipped dinner because i just wasn't really hungry.  had some grapes instead.


today i'm doing oatmeal and an iced mocha (the mochas are a serious vice... i'd save 4 bucks a day if i ditched them, and wouldnt' be consuming a whole bunch of milk and chocolate first thing in the morning.  looking forward to the restriction on monday)

lunch is soup and a salad from home again.  pretty much the same salad as yesterday because it was bangin!

Lunch was actually a small meatball sub and a salad.   Felt grossly full afterwards.  

dinner will likely be steamed veggies, some basmati rice, and baked chicken.

Dinner was just a single chicken breast.   Seasoned and baked. I wasn't very hungry.  It satiated me.   I also went for a run, albeit short and lumbery.  235 and 'running fluidly' aren't normally synonymous. 

i'm 235 as of last night, for what its worth.   i know i shouldn't look at the scale but its habit.  
i remember this time i was 185 and looked fucking incredible.  

Looking forward to tomorrow.   I finally downloaded blogger for iPhone so I should be able to post pictures more frequently.

Introduction, Hello's, and all that Jazz

So this is pretty essentially a food journal.
I'm at a computer for 8 hours of my day, and hate carrying extra things, so  physical journal would more than likely sit at home next to my jump rope, collecting dust.
Some background.

I'm 30 years old, and today I weigh in at around 237 pounds of pure....compulsion.
i ride some bike, i do some yoga, and occasionally some Budokon with my loving wife.
none of those with enough frequency to make it count.

So this is my effort to change that.
The way you do anything is the way you do everything.

Thanks to a great guy named Jamie, from this website, i'm going to start a cleanse to rid my body of all the bullshit I've managed to stuff in it over the past few years, and start fresh.

My cleanse starts Monday, after my normal Sunday grocery trip, so i'm blogging a few days early to give you an idea of where i'm at right now.


Today:
Breakfast:
Large iced mocha (local using real espresso)
mason jar of orange juice
instant oatmeal made with water

Lunch
Vegetable soup from a can
homemade salad.  Spinach, tomatoes, feta, walnuts/cranberries, snap peas, cucumbers and balsamic vin

Water


Thats where i'm at so far.   I'll be playing polo tonight, so i'll likely eat late.  Haven't decided what that'll be yet.
right now i'm really craving a peanut butter twix and a dr pepper.    not gonna lie.
i also work right next door to a Sheetz.   how fucking terribly convenient.
